NEW YORK STYLE™ UPDATES PITA CHIP PACKAGING
New York Style® brand, a leader in premium deli snacks for over 25 years, announces upgrades to their Pita Chip packaging to further drive the highly successful Pita Chip category. It is a category that has nearly doubled in size every year for the past three, significantly outpacing the growth of other snack varieties such as potato chips and tortilla chips.
The success of Pita Chips is driven by the fact that they go along with the current health trends of being natural and lower in fat than other snack items. New York Style’s improved package now clearly states the health benefits which include being baked, all natural, having no cholesterol, and containing 65% less fat than the leading brand of potato chips.
The new package is in the style of a pillow pack which helps protect the product better and significantly reduces breakage. In addition, one more ounce of pita chips has been added, improving the consumer value by 20%.
To offer versatile merchandising options, the top of the new bag is hole-punched. Also, each flavor is clearly color-coded to help consumers clearly identify the flavor they want.
Over the last two years, New York Style brand Pita Chips has outpaced the general growth of the Pita Chip category and has grown faster than the Pita Chip category in same store sales. With these package improvements, the New York Style brand will grow even faster and improve upon its success in the market.
The improved Pita Chips, that will be available in October, will come in Garlic, Lightly Salted, Cinnamon Sugar, Spicy Three Pepper, and Whole Wheat varieties.

NEW YORK STYLE™ GIVES THE DELI A NEW PREMIUM SNACK - PRETZEL FLATZ™
